About Blakesville Creamery
United States
Blakesville is a woman owned and operated creamery in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Launched in the summer of 2020, it comes as no surprise that their ascension to the stars has been guided by veteran cheesemaker Veronica Pedraza. Veronica (“V”) is making amazing farmstead cheese with milk from their own herd of Saanen-mix goats. While goat’s milk cheeses are the primary focus, V built the creamery with the capacity to handle sheep's milk as well. Blakesville buys Assaf sheep's milk sourced from Mrs. J and Co., an experimental sheep's milk farm and dairy founded by Mariana Marques de Almeida. V turns this sheep’s milk into a handful of exceptional sheep cheeses to round out her collection.
