Blakesville Creamery is a relative newcomer to the cheese world (2020). It comes as no surprise that their ascension to the stars has been guided by veteran cheesemaker Veronica Pedraza. Veronica is making amazing cheese with milk from the farms herd of nearly 1500 Saanen mix goats. The farm itself is pretty special as it is part of the Brico Fund which has a focus on thoughtful land use and environmental protection.

Lake Effect is a bloomy rind cheese with a creamy texture that ranges from semi-soft to soft. It's rich and dense, with notes of button mushroom and a mellow tanginess. At just 5 ounces, these little wheels are a delightful size.
