Located in Nerstand, MN, Shepherds Way is a farmstead sheep dairy. This means that the same people who are milking the animals are making the cheese. Jodi Ohlsen Read and her husband Steven Read started making sheeps milk cheese in 1998 and quickly began winning awards and a following. After an arson fire in 2005, the Reads rebuilt their farm and herd and are now milking about 200 East Friesian ewes and making beautiful cheese.
